SNAP Freeze | Nov 2025

Ways to help:

Refugees and immigrants are also affected by the SNAP freeze, find refugee & immigration offices in your state to make a donation:

SaveResettlement.org

Donate and/or volunteer to local food pantries & soup kitchens near you. Some pantries may benefit more from cash donations, it may be best to call and ask what they need/prefer.

What to Donate

If donating food:

If possible, donate canned goods with easy open tabs.

Some overlooked items: Cooking oil, shelf stable or powdered milk, coffee & tea, dried herbs & spices.

Diapers, menstrual products & other hygiene/personal care items are usually needed as well.

Some pantries may also take pet food donations.

Local churches may be accepting winter clothing donations around this time of year.

And lastly, don't be a snitch.

Find Help:

Locate Food Pantries & Soup Kitchens:

If you can't find hygiene products or clothing at your food pantry, try local churches in your area. They usually have "Charity Closets" that you can go to at specific dates during the month.

Where I'm from, most churches have food pantries with clothes & hygiene products, so it may differ depending on where you are. Also, some churches may provide financial assistance.

Pets:

Pet Assistance:
BestFriends.org

Some food pantries may also provide pet food if you need assistance in feeding your pet(s).
